kissing sunset

Dale and Jenny bought this little yellow house in October 2012 after setting it in their sights for six months or so. Their dream house (and business) became real the same week they decided to get married! After clearing the three apartments of all the furniture, they moved in their collections of mid-century chairs, tables, credenzas and hung up photos by Jenny and curios from their worldly travels. Season began only weeks later and they have not looked back!

There's Always Something New

The two make constant improvements and the look of the property changes daily. Dale is a talented custom furniture maker and Jenny a professional photographer and they have a business downtown Wood Street Studio. They are a friendly and sociable couple who love to meet travelers from all over the world and look forward to hosting you here at Lido.

A Cheery Welcome

Dale and Jenny live close by in downtown Sarasota so will be on hand to welcome you and look after your needs during your stay.

Come Hang Out

"Dale and I are free-spirited types and threw ourselves whole-heartedly into the project of building and creating our Lido Beach House haven. It is a wonderful space for Dale to showcase his wonderful talent as a furniture designer and builder, and he draws on many years of experience so as to renovate with great care to not cut corners. Following in my parents' footsteps as they travelled the world collecting beautiful things, I found a venue to share my art and treasures from our own voyages, and to discover my taste for design and decorating. Buying furniture at auctions was a new and exciting pastime, knowing we could easily fix up an old Paul Mcobb table or a Herman Miller chair if needed. Being immersed in the art world here in town means we can collect and display up-and-coming artists as well as vintage finds. We aim to create a calm, personal, informal yet aspirational space that suits everyone. We hope you enjoy it here!"
